How Our Mortgage Application Process Works
One hallmark of ALIANT Mortgage is a clean, efficient
loan process. We have spent over 15 years refining the process and
making it as easy and painless as possible for our customers. We realize
that buying or refinancing a home is a significant financial
transaction, and we are proud when our customers tell us the process was
much easier than they expected!
To explain more about how it works, we have listed below
the basic steps of the process, from application to closing. This provides
you with information about what you can expect when you allow us the
opportunity of working with you on your mortgage lending needs.
Step-by-Step
- Read our Privacy Policy and
How Much Mortgage Can I Afford?
- You complete Online Prequalification Form (if you don't feel comfortable
applying online, you can meet face-to-face with a mortgage loan specialist)
- We receive feedback from our automated underwriting system based on your online
application telling us whether you are approved or not. Additionally, we provide
you with the required initial mortgage disclosures.
- We provide you with the underwriting feedback based on the automated system's
determination. Also, we can discuss locking your interest rate in.
- You provide us with required income and asset documentation such as bank
statements, W-2's, pay stubs, etc. in order to verify the information provided
by you on the online application
- We arrange for an appraisal, and submit for final loan approval.
- Title, survey, termite, and all other closing conditions are performed, and the
loan is closed.
