Neely Henry Lake Mortgages
The only thing between you and the lake home you've
always wanted . . .
the right financing.
Neely
Henry Lake is situated near the town of Gadsden in north Alabama. On the
Coosa River System it is the second impoundment out of six lakes, running
from north to south Alabama. Although the lower lake features many feeder
creeks and sprawling lake flats, it is not a huge, spread out lake. But it
is a long Lake, 77 miles from dam to dam. Sitting in the foothills of the
Appalachians, the scenery around Neely Henry ranges from majestic, wooded
hills and picturesque rock cliffs at the lower end of the lake, to the city
skyline in the middle section, to the river like wilderness of the upper
reaches.
Neely Henry Lake is also only minutes away from the city of Birmingham and
offers outstanding opportunities for recreation on this large, beautiful
impoundment. With numerous marinas and public launches, there is easy access
to all parts of the lake. Neely Henry has also become known as a great
fishery for all species, especially bass, crappie and catfish.
The lake features 11,200 acres of water and 339 miles of shoreline. Above
Neely Henry Lake is Weiss Lake, impounded in 1961. Situated below Neely
Henry Lake dam lies Logan Martin Lake, impounded in 1964. Neely Henry Lake,
the youngest of all six Coosa River Lakes, was the last man-made lake on the
Coosa River System to be impounded in the 1960's. Dam completion took place
in August of 1966.
