Lake Eufala Mortgages
The only thing between you and the lake home you've
always wanted . . .
the right financing.
Settled high upon a bluff overlooking the beautiful
45,000-acre Lake Eufaula in southeastern Alabama along the Alabama-Georgia
border, Eufaula is rich in both recreational opportunities and history.
Known as the "Big Bass Capital of the World," Lake Eufaula features some 640
miles of shoreline and many public boat ramps and marinas. Eufaula is also
home to the Seth Lore and Irwinton Historic District. With more than 700
historic and architecturally significant structures, the District includes
Alabama's most coherent collection of intact mid-to-late 19th century small
town commercial buildings, as well as the state's most extensive collection
of domestic Italianate architecture.
Officially known as Walter F. George Lake, popular
activities include trophy fishing and camping, also various parks and
reserves surround Lake Eufaula. Lakepoint State Park, Florence Marina,
George T. Bagby State Park, and the Eufaula National Wildlife Reserve are
all along the lake's shores. In addition to campgrounds and marinas, the
areas surrounding your Lake Eufaula house are home to various picnic sites,
playgrounds, swimming areas, and trails.
The Lake Eufaula area experiences mild winters and hot
summers. In January the average temperature is 47 degrees Fahrenheit.
Homeowners should expect temperatures in the low 80s during the summer
months. With a wonderful climate and beautiful water, Lake Eufaula is a
great destination for those looking for lake houses.
